Columbus Eagles soar in home opener; Chihuahua debuts with home doubleheader sweep of Houston

TAMPA, Florida -- The Columbus Eagles opened their home season Saturday, thrilling a stand-room-only crowd with a well earned 6-2 win over the Louisville Thunder.

Elsewhere, the Chihuahua Savage, who have excelled at both the Major Arena Soccer League and MASL 2 levels, debuted their women's team over the weekend with a home doubleheader sweep of the Houston Bolt.

Two games were postponed because of weather, including the showdown of unbeatens between Cincinnati and Susserfuss, and the Iowa Demon Hawks debut of their women's team against Indiana United.
